Magpie Springs is a Fleurieu Peninsula gem, the perfect wedding venue for couples who want to relax and enjoy the country vibe - your guests will love it
Magpie Springs Winery is not far from the Adelaide Hills. It's a lovely rustic, winery wedding venue and ideally suited for this couple to exchange their vows. They were able to bring in a food van, set-up their tables and organise their marquee to keep costs down. The space was theirs and they could do as they liked.
Jarrod and Michelle's wedding ceremony was under the shade of some large trees, giving plenty of shade for all. It overlooked the vines and gums, and the birds sang their happy tune! Their vows were so heartwarming as they committed their lives to each other. Michelle also made some vows to Jarrod's two boys, promising to look after and care for them. This evident care and devotion triggered tears from pretty much everyone, but especially the older of the two boys.
At the reception, this courageous 13-year-old gave the most heartwarming, remarkable speech. The most staggering part about it was that, at such a young age, this young teenager brought all his life's thoughts together and presented them well, including some humour. No one knew it was going to happen, and no one helped him with the speech. Everyone cried, including his grandpa, who 'never cries'! It's one of those speeches I will never forget despite hearing so many wedding speeches over my photography years!
