These children organised a family photo shoot in the Adelaide Hills. They wanted to surprise their parents with a photo or two of them all together.
It took quite the organisation as one older brother had to travel from interstate for the shoot and with all their busy schedules it was hard to find the right date and time. On top of that the little ones all had to be ready which the older girls help and then it took a few car loads to get them to the field in Balhannah.
We arranged a couch in the Balhannah field and they all sat around and had a pretty cool, almost traditional family photo or two, we took lots of individual photos of all 11 of them and some other group photos of them goofing and being family. As the sun set we drove to Verdun so we could catch that last glow.
I love this photo because it shows their differences in height, it shows how fun they are and reminds me of the hot African skies which is very appropriate for this precious family. I always try and capture families so the real spirit of the family is interwoven through all their portfolio. One of the favourite things people can say about their photos is "it is so US". Perfect! Just what I wanted to achieve!
Location: Main Road, Balhannah, South Australia.
