As you drive into Norton Summit, in the Adelaide Hills, be sure not to miss Ten Miles East Winery, tucked away up a picturesque lane off Debneys Road, and a beautiful spot for an intimate country wedding.
Sam and Sarah met when they first went to youth groups together and became youth leaders. Their pastor’s wife thought that Sam liked Sarah, but it took 3 years before they worked it out themselves and started dating. Sam makes Sarah laugh, and as they say, ‘happy wife, happy life’. They decided they made the perfect pair and married on the lawns at Ten Miles East by two celebrants, with an autumn backdrop reflecting in the dam.
A ‘first look’ (seeing each other before the ceremony) was the order of the day, and most of their photos were taken before the ceremony, so they walked down the aisle together.
I met Sarah when I took photos for her growing pottery business, Earth’s Clay, and loved her easygoing nature, so I was delighted to be able to photograph her on her wedding day at Ten Miles East Winery.
Sarah’s Mum made her stunning dress, complete with detachable sleeves, which she wore for some of the photos and the wedding reception.
