Jesse and Lucy were married in the shade of the majestic gum trees on Stoney Creek Estate, Strathalbyn. They had been dating for nearly eight years, about 7 1/2 years too long for Lucy, who couldn’t wait to marry the love of her life. It was a day full of fun and fanfare.
A fleet of classic Commodores brought the wedding party across the green lawns to the outdoor setting. The wedding took place under a flowery arbour, and the ceremony concluded with biodegradable confetti cannons that went off with a bang and gave us all a big surprise!
It was a baking 34-degree day, but Kombi Keg kept us well supplied with a choice of thirst-quenching beverages. At the same time, Woody the Wood Oven Wagon provided pizzas galore, and Events Gourmet and Florals rolled out canapes, sliders, kebabs, arancini balls, and desserts.
The group photo and family photos were taken not long after the ceremony, but because it was hot, we waited to have the other photos around golden hour, and I’m so glad we did. As the sun dropped low in the sky, the heat was dissipated by a refreshing breeze. We found pockets of beautiful light in the olive grove and creek bed and captured the newlyweds’ heartwarming love before finishing the evening with some amusing speeches and a giant sparkler exit.
Congratulations, Jesse and Lucy. Thanks for a magical wedding day.
