This photo was taken during an extended family photo session. This little princess is from a large family with lots of aunties, uncles and cousins. In extended family photos, we get the photos of the extended family first and then have lots of photos of each individual family and portraits of the children and adults. I take as many in-between moments as possible, so families can look back and enjoy remembering the true dynamics of the family!
I love this photo - the blossom herself, her beautiful eyes, the clothes she is wearing, the light streaming from behind and the way she is holding the succulent. I love her look of sweetness and innocence.
I take a lot of photos that soften the background, so the focus is on the subject. This adds to the dreamy look of many of my portraits.
